I am the descendant of slave owners on both my mother’s and father’s sides of the family. As part of the process of healing from this ancestry, I produced a PBS documentary entitled “Shared History.” See www.sharedhistory.org.

It is such a relief to have the support of Coming To The Table and the other linked family members to help me continue to navigate through my on-going process. Whether blood related or not, we are connected to each other on a basic cellular level. We can use our experience of coming together to help others face their own legacies.
